I feel like it was just a fool's trap to make us pay more and more.
First, the test is quite expensive (300€), but it's the same for all tests, so fair enough.
But unlike what it seems like, you have to pay for the retake (100€) if you choose to do it.
But my advice would be: don't do it!
Again, it felt like an IA "corrected" my essays, as the feedback was the exact same (picture) as the first one, whereas I worked and improved a lot in the two months in between, and the essays were utterly different.
And if you want to complain about it? Well, just pay 100€ more!
To have what? A new automatic answer? No, thank you!
Besides, I wanted to do my retake from home, which was proposed when I paid, but then, no date for it! Isn't that weird?!
I only wanted half a point more. I had the exact same mark with no explanation at all. I feel like it was just a waste of time and money.
Next time, if I need another test, it will be another one for sure.[/su_testimonial][su_testimonial name="A. La qualité des échanges est remarquable, tant sur le fond que sur la forme. The examiner, Peter, completely forgot about my test appointment. I was left waiting in a cold hallway for a long time, with no explanation or assistance. This was extremely unprofessional and made me feel anxious and neglected.
During the test itself, Peter kept asking me repeatedly, “Do you understand?” or “Did you get it?” — in a tone that felt both condescending and confusing. I expected the British Council to uphold high standards of professionalism, but this experience was far from it.

Très mauvaise expérience pour notre fille de 11 ans. Tout d’abord placée dans un niveau qui ne lui correspond pas du tout, nous sommes donc obligés de la retirer du cours car elle n’y apprend rien. Ensuite s’engagent des mois de lutte pour récupérer la somme qu’ils nous doivent. À date, ils ne nous ont remboursé qu’un tiers de la somme payée pour seulement 5 heures de cours. I am a Student at the British Council of Paris.
I greatly appreciate the learning methods and process, and especially all the great events they organize and offer very regularly.
For exemple, I participated lately to the exhibition Music + Life of Dennis Morris with a museum speaker, and to a tour of Père Lachaise with the historian Simon Handy.
These events were very exciting and precious for me, to be fully immersed in the United Kingdom culture !

This is the best center in Paris where you can take your exam and English lessons. After my poor experience at the Saint Lazare Center, I decided to change center. They were very warm and welcoming.
