Ironhack

I graduated on April 25 as a full stack web dev and here is my experience cut short: - Ironhack staff and teachers are arrogant and inexperienced, see images below. The first is of the "head of the remote school" and the other of one teacher assistant. They behave as they are doing students a favor. - the quality of education is low and the reason is that most students don’t pay. Their government pay for them (Germany and France) and the Spanish and Portuguese get a deal that they only pay when (if) they find a job after the bootcamp. In conclusion, people don’t pay and accept anything they get. - the teachers (that I was introduced to) and the management have zero, experience in the tech industry their first job in tech is teaching … they are all previous students … very weird business format. - You spend half of the time having self guided lessons (fancy term for reading alone) and exercises, and if you need help you have to beg-for-support on Slack App. They demand you to send screenshots of your doubts and a explanation... exhausting for nothing. They say is to simulate working with seniors in a company... they never worked with seniors... - their teaching materials are outdated, mostly from 2019, with the newest from 2023. Not to mention the slides! - The career advisors are a joke, their English is "Berry Bad" and IF they have a partnership with any company -which I doubt- they will, of course, favor the students that will pay them when they get a job. - before I choose Ironhack, I read reviews saying exactly the same things I am writing now but I didn’t considered it. This was my biggest mistake, I would have chosen LeWagon or Code Academy or any other. - Please note my entire criticism goes to the high management the uttermost fault is theirs. They lack values, their only aim seems to have good marketing and get money from students and governments. No true commit with education. They built a school indeed - in the past - however they don't seem worried with the service they return at the present. Recipe for failure.

I studied UX/Ui at Ironhack and It was one of the best experiences in Paris. The bootcamp is very challenging and you will learn how to build digital products from scratch. The mix with the other courses is strategic because it made you understand the whole escenario and teams. I pretty much recommend to take this bootcamp if you are into this creative world.

I recently completed the Ironhacks Data Analytics Bootcamp, and it was an amazing experience! The teaching support was top-notch—our instructors were knowledgeable, approachable, and always ready to help. The campus facilities were excellent, providing a comfortable learning environment. I highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone looking to dive into data analytics!

J'ai suivi le Bootcamp en UX / UI Design, de nov. 2023 à février 2024, en full remote. Cette formation intensive et professionnalisante permet de se constituer un beau portfolio en quelques semaines seulement ! L'équipe pédagogique est à l'écoute et très investie. La dynamique de groupe est très positive aussi et permet de garder le cap dans les moments difficiles. Petit bémol lorsqu'il s'agit d'une reconversion où l'on part de "zéro" : faute de temps, certains sujets sont survolés et demandent donc à être impérativement approfondis / complétés par nous-mêmes par la suite car le marché de l'emploi dans ce secteur est particulièrement exigent et tendu pour les juniors en ce moment.

Démarchage commercial, fausses promesses, aucun suivi, administration catastrophique, à éviter

I graduated in September 2022 from Ironhack Paris - Web Development and I started the course not knowing anything about web development. The course was structured with classes in the morning and early afternoon; and labs for the rest of the day. The labs were usually great exercises for applying what we had learned that morning and extending the lesson further. During the third week of each module, we worked on projects which were to be presented on the Friday. For me, this was the most fun part of the course. It was amazing to be able to work on my own projects and have excellent teachers guide me through whenever I was blocked on a certain problem. Both Robin and Florian where great lead teachers. All of the staff, both teaching and operations, were fantastic throughout my time there. The facilities are as good as they get and there's tons of places to eat nearby. There were beers every Friday which was a great way to socialise with my classmates, the staff, and students from other courses. If you're thinking of enrolling, you absolutely should. I wasn't able to get funding because I'm not a French resident or citizen so I had to spend my life's savings to attend the school. It was a huge risk but I don't regret it at all.

J'ai suivi le bootcamp en développement web en janvier 2023. Les enseignants et les assistants sont compétents et surtout à l'écoute des besoins des étudiants. L'ambiance dans la classe est très sympa, le campus est moderne et bien situé. Le cours et les horaires sont intenses, mais si on s'accroche on peut y arriver.
