Wonderful course to play, learn and make great friends on. David and all of the teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and I loved all the film festivals we went to too. Really loved my time on this course!

Taking the month-long video course at CineStudio in Paris was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The program struck the perfect balance between theory and hands-on practice, creating a dynamic and enriching learning environment. The teachers were incredible professionals, their passion, kindness, and deep knowledge made an absolute pleasure to work alongside. The energy among the students was inspiring, with a strong sense of collaboration and creativity that made each day exciting. The location itself added to the magic: a beautiful, welcoming space with a lovely garden that made in-person classes feel even more special. Everyone was helpful, approachable, and truly dedicated to what they do. I’m so grateful for the experience and especially to David Owen for leading such an amazing course. Carolina 🙂

I recently completed a summer course in Cinestudio Paris. I really enjoyed the course! We had modules in the history of cinema, operating the camera, colour grading, screenwriting, lighting, editing and got to visit the cinémathèque française. David, the course director and teacher was very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. It is obvious he is passionate about his craft and he loves to share his knowledge to ensure you succeed as a student. The group were a bunch of lovely people and I will always remember it

Cinestudio Paris is perfect for beginners who love film and want to develop their knowledge and skills as a filmmaker and meet like-minded individuals to collaborate with. Even if you just go for the 1-month course, even though I do recommend going for the full year, the classes pack a punch, and you learn so much in such a short period of time. The biggest positive of the school is the freedom they give their students for their shorts and the number of projects you get to work on. It's an experience I will never forget, and I highly recommend it to any film lover out there that's looking for a short yet all-encompassing experience.

I participated in the 1-Month combined Acting and Filmmaking course. And wow, what an unforgettable experience. Not only due to the group I was with (which was a group of amazing people that the director of the course had hand-picked after some exchanges via mail or even phone calls), but also in great part because of the quality, structure and style of this 1-Month long course. The two teachers (Mr. Owen and Mr. Allard) are very nice people that are easy to get along with. More importantly though, they excel at what they teach. Very early on you'll be able to tell that these guys have studied this, worked in the business and moreover, are passionate about what they teach. Every class was filled with energy as well as a positive vibe and even 500 slides of technical camera "stuff" became interesting. And that was in great part due to the teaching staff. I have rarely encountered such passionate and enthusiastic teaching staff and can only praise their work and dedication. On top of this, the assignments were very interesting, sometimes challenging and always fun. I never felt under pressure of being evaluated like at university or school. They will of course look at your work and give you feedback, but you will not be graded and compared to others in class. The only nitpick I have (but this is only valid for the combined course) is that the combined course is more focused on the filmmaking than the acting, but not to a point where I felt disappointed. The studio where the class was taught is located very nicely in Paris, near Bercy Parc. It is easily accessible via Metro, Bus and even bike. The equipment provided was very good and in good condition. It might seem a bit overwhelming at first, but Mr. Owen will guide you and you'll be able to use the equipment in no time. The studio itself is also used by music bands, which is good if you need a noise-isolated room to shoot a scene or film a part of your short film. All in all a very well-rounded and complete course for anyone looking to get into the cinema/film business. Even for people in the business, this course can be very informative and deepen your knowledge (a few students in my class were already in the business or had previous experience in the area). That's why this place deserves a 5-star rating from my part and if I have the opportunity, I would love to go back someday :)) Thank you for everything, Cinestudio!

I recently completed the one-month summer course, and I absolutely LOVED it. In just a month, I went from not knowing how to use a camera to writing, directing, filming, and editing three short films. The course is fantastic. We had access to brilliant equipment and attended classes on the history of cinema, cinematography, screenwriting and camera workshops. David is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, providing lots of attention to each student. All the teachers are brilliant and truly inspiring. I met amazing people and made lifelong friends. I cannot recommend the school enough. It was a truly life-changing experience. If you're looking to study film in Paris... look no further... go to Cinestudio.

If you're looking to dive deep into filmmaking and cinematography in a fun, free and warm environnement, CineStudio is the perfect place. The rhythm of projects can be intense but extremely stimulating and useful to have a solid first portfolio at the end of the year. Festivals accreditations, equipments on demand, various workshops and masterclasses, but also the space of the Studio Luna Rossa allows each student to push themselves to their full potential of creativity. But keep in mind that it's your own journey into cinema and it's up to you to make the most out of the opportunities of the year. It's a really self-driven way of learning which works really well for open-minded and free spirited creatives. All of that with great support from director David Owen.
