Paris Flight Academy

This is truly one of the best flight schools! All the instructors and staff are not only highly professional but also incredibly kind and respectful. As someone completely new to flying, I found many things challenging and unfamiliar — but I’m so grateful for how patiently and thoroughly they answered all my many questions. From the instructors I met, like Steven and Feno, I could clearly see how seriously they take their work and prioritise safety. Communication with Bruno was always very quick and precise as well, which made everything much easier. I was also impressed by how well-organised the entire documentation, booking system, and theoretical exam preparation materials were. And most of all, it’s the only place near Paris where I can take lessons entirely in English — a huge plus!

Gill and Chris from England had a fabulous flight today. Using two Robin aircraft we flew together over Versailles accompanied by instructors Feno and Steven. Plenty of photo opportunities and good flying experiences. Thanks to Bruno at Paris Flight Academy for arranging it.

I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5! I was looking for a flight school near Paris to spend a morning flying while I am in town from the US. My schedule was not very flexible as I am here for work, but Bruno was extremely responsive over email and understanding when we were trying to sort out a good time for me. I am so lucky that we were able to schedule a morning flight on my day off with Feno, one of the best CFI’s I have ever flown with! His personality is friendly and calm, and we were excited to fly together. We started our day the way all mornings should start- over a delicious coffee, while we did our preflight and went over the airport environment. We departed from the grass runway with a tower (a combo that was new to me!). Feno showed me where to fly, keeping his attention on the airspace and the airplane while also taking a few amazing pictures for me that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Being able to see the Eiffel Tower in the distance and the Palace of Versailles from the air was absolutely mind-blowing, and I hope I can come back and fly the Robin with Feno again. I stayed to have lunch at the restaurant and watched other planes in the pattern with a smile on my face in disbelief that I actually got to fly in France. The airport, the hangar, the plane, the people I met, and the town are all gorgeous, and I have nothing bad to say about the entire experience. I cannot wait to be able to fly with Paris Flight Academy again.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with PFA. The instructors (specially Feno) is highly professional and skilled in teaching. I love their flexibility in scheduling, allowing balance between training with other commitments. Also, LFPZ where they are based is slightly complex with many restricted zones, making the training even more fruitful. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or advance their PPL journey!

As an American private pilot visiting Europe this month, I was hoping to schedule a flight for my wife and I over Mont St Michel and the invasion beaches in Normandy. When I contacted PFA's owner Bruno Gay last fall, he responded immediately with enthusiasm. As it turned out, he would out of town on the date desired, but he suggested David Simons, one of his flight instructor colleagues to fly with me. David also happens to be a US military officer in charge of many US military cemeteries including the one in Normandy, so he was intimately knowledgeable about the sites of interest to me! We had a fantastic 4.3 hour VFR flight, including a brief landing at Caen. I flew much of the way in Bruno's Cirrus SR20 - its sidestick was a new experience! Bruno was even willing to drive into Paris to meet with us himself several days later to share a drink and debrief us about the experience. My experience with Bruno, David, and PFA was top-notch and I offer them my highest recommendation. My wife and I are so appreciative!
