ESMOD Paris

PARENTS, FUYEZ ! En choisissant ESMOD on a choisi la notoriété à la française, "La plus ancienne école de mode du monde" avec des succursales dans les plus grandes villes de France mais aussi dans le monde jusqu'à Dubaï ! Ouahou ! Quel prestige ! Les deux premières années à Bordeaux, impeccables, la troisième année à Paris, "La Rochefoucauld" la classe ! Quel beau bâtiment ... Mais c'est une coquille vide ! Aucun suivit pédagogique, des profs non impliqués et très souvent absents ! On demande aux élèves du travail en autonomie sans leur donner de méthodologie et quand on les évalue, sans qu'ils aient pu voir leur prof (indisponible) pour parler de leur travaux, ils sont mis plus bas que terre ! J'ai cru que c'était pour les préparer au dur monde du travail mais non, c'est totalement gratuit, et par des "professionnels" (peut-être) qu'ils n'ont jamais rencontré ! Aucun retour de la part des profs à posteriori pour débriefer, Une honte ! Alors il doivent rendre des projets sur lesquels on ne leur dit rien, mais en plus ils doivent accomplir un stage de fin d'année de 3 à 6 mois, c'est pas une paille, on pourrait imaginer qu'une partie de la semaine pourrait être consacrée à ce futur stage, qu'est-ce qu'on attend d'eux, quelles entreprises démarcher, peut-être des contacts, pourquoi ce stage, Y-a-t-il une perspective de déboucher ... Mais ... Non, rien, en janvier on s'en inquiète un peu, on demande et on nous dit "Ah Oui c'est vrai, on va en parler en février". Mars arrive et incroyable, un pauvre cours de deux heures pour survoler le sujet et c'est tout ! Alors pour une prestigieuse école comme ESMOD, on pourrait également imaginer que des grands noms de la couture viennent y faire un tour, pour presenter leur entreprise, voir ce que les élèves réalisent, donner des cours, ou alors même qu'ils ailles en groupe visiter de grandes maison, on est a Paris tout de même ! Après tout chaque élève dépense près de 14000€ par ans dans cette école, il y a moyen ! Mais ce ne fut qu'un rêve, aucune personnalité, aucune entreprise n'est invité ou représenté ! Le défilé de fin d'année ... Élèves oubliés, organisation amateuriste ... Regardez la photo Ouah, la classe ! Et pas un seul couturier ! Je passe sur tellement de détail ... Franchement on avait hésité avec d'autres écoles, qu'elle déception ! Un vrai scandale, une pompe à fric, c'est tout ce que je peux conclure !

En tant que mannequin, j'ai eu une très très mauvaise expérience avec l'une des élèves pour un projet scolaire, dommage que cela entache l'image de l'école. Peut-être les étudiants ne sont pas formés a être pro

I was studying in the IP program at ESMOD 2024. Honestly, I am very happy with the experience I have had. The teachers are very helpful, kind and organised. I have a lot of friends from other schools, IFA, Parsons, Marangoni, and comparing to their schedules and assignments I can absolutely say that ESMOD is the best school. If you want to apply here (especially for IP program) be ready to work a looot, because the time schedule is crazy, we have a lot of work to do, but it absolutely worth it, because the progress of work and understanding of fashion industry is huge!! We have a lot of different classes such as branding, digital marketing, drawing, modarist, history of fashion, runway etc. And main classes are Creative and technical design. Also, I have had an amazing opportunity to attend the fashion shows, to work backstage. Esmod tries their best to grow with the new technologies to be always in trend, they add new classes, change and add new specialisation depending on the industry demand . Fashion is a profession where a lot depends on the person, his desire and ability to be the quickest, ESMOD gives all opportunities for good networking, shows attendance and etc, you just need to know how to use it! The worse school ever. Overrated! They invest in marketing and advertising more then in education. Don't throw away your money! There aren't enough teachers for the students number and they didn't teach practical stuff. You 'll never be competent, they teach a little of everything very fast and without a clear explanation. I remember in my class we were 30 people and only one teacher of pattern making extremely nervous and with no time to correct everybody. And also while searching jobs sometimes they told you: "we don't take people graduated from Esmod"

L'administration de l'ecole est une arnaque complet. Ils restent à votre coté tant que vous ne payez pas le tuition. Aussi quand vous faites les virements leurs banque enleve les frais de 50€ et l'école vous exige de payer ces frais sinon ils refusent de vous entrer les classes meme ayant reglé le tution en complet. Une fois inscrit à l'ecole l'administration traite les etudiants tres mal, comme si on etais pas la bienvenue. De plus les professeurs sont hyper hyper hyper xenophobes et discriminatoires dans leurs enseignemnet. Peu importe que vous soyez asiatique, arabe, irelandais, africain, anglais ou un autre nationalité les professeurs aident seulement les étudiants francaises et ils laissent tomber les étudiants étrangeres. J'ai eu des tres mauvaises experience comme ca. Les professeurs font express pour ne pas entrainer les eleves etrangers et ne partagent pas les bons infos avec eux. Ils expliquent et aident seulement les etudiants francaises en leurs donnent des avis et des conseils pour trouver le meilleur emploi, meilleur note, meilleur tous. À éviter à tous prix. Meme leurs service emplois est completement nul avec presque pas d'offres. Ils toute simplement copie, colle les offres à partir de sites d'emploi indeed, glassdoor, fashionjobs etc. Aucune responsabilité et heyper discriminatoire. À éviter à tous prix.

Biggest disaster in so called 'fashion school' This school is here to take motivated, talented, smart young peoples money, soul, time, and talent. The school is in a 3 year program where starting at the first year will lure you in and trick you to think they have so much contacts, powers and how important the school is, but in reality the school is over crowded, dirty messy and doesn't have any resources or contacts. The school barely has space per student in the class, no place for each student to leave anything so you have to come each day too school with heavy machines, and tons of tools. The teachers and staff and administration are unhelpful, rude, not understanding and want to make your life difficult for absolutely no reason when THEY are the ones being paid.. There is even a so called 'internship lady' where you are supposed to be able to get contacts for internships or future jobs but she does absolutely nothing and my friends and I all wonder why such a person who does nothing is being paid. The school lacks machines, each class has 3 most likely non working machines and only one iron per class which is more often than not always broken. There is no button hole machine, no working over lock machines and the printers are constantly broken and no machines to bind documents when they constantly ask us to turn things in in this format. The school is "International" but by the third year expect that foreign students magically learn to speak french. When french students have english courses and english speaking students don't even have a french class. The entirety of the three years is taken up by pattern making and design classes but we are never taught how to make portfolios, how to design layout or any sort of important information for our future. Instead the first and second year is filled with useless weaving classes where we "weave" our own fabric on a home made loom.. aka a photo frame. Life drawing classes lack proper tools, the live model is unprofessional. The third year is so terribly organized where students take more than 6 months designing and re designing and are expected to sew to dior quality in 2 months their entire collection. The specialization classes are extremely useless and teach students to hire a photographer in a photography class or expect that we can sew leather alone at home. The production and marketing class is spent staring at a wall and being told the same thing over and over again which normally has nothing to do with what we as design students would want to achieve. On top of all of this. The school is 10,000 euros a year. With this money you as a student will be provided with terrible teachers, a dirty school with no elevator, and the student has to pay for everything them selves. The printing, the fabrics for exercises, and are expected to resource everything on our own and give no proper contacts for shops, printing or any sort of specific materials. The school botique is a scam, selling rulers at triple the price of a regular shop and other items and is only open for a few hours a day. ESMOD is a true nightmare and a scam and I hope no pure souled talent with future goals in fashion will ever come to this school. Might as well spend the 30,000 somewhere else. yours truly, MC Crack

I could not agree more with all the other negative reviews. This school is awful and an absolute scam in so many ways. On top of all the school fees, you are expected to purchase around 1500 euros worth of books and supplies when the course commences, most of which is uneccessary and not even used in the course. The school also has an on campus "boutique" for students to buy cheap supplies but in fact they charge up to three times more than the local art store. I have no idea where all the tuition money goes because the resources are minimal, terrible and very outdated. The "campus" is an absolute joke and the school is filled with very depressed international students all of whom are questioning why they have wasted their time and money to attend this disorganised mess of an institution. You could attend any public school and receive a much better education. Everything described in the other bad reviews is 100% accurate. Not to mention the fact that students are constantly going to the administration with visa processing problems which the administration fails to acknowledge and tell them it will be fine, simply because the school is too lazy to do anything to help them. I could go on all day listing the problems with this school. I honestly feel sad and frustrated to think of how many young people have been tricked into the nightmare which is ESMOD.
